STAFFORD, VA – The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA), the leading voice for the spray polyurethane foam (SPF) industry, announces the election of its Director of Technical Services, Jason Hoerter, PE, RRO, to the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) Board of Directors.
This appointment fosters deeper collaboration across the building enclosure sector, driving collective progress in modern construction standards. By sharing technical expertise between organizations, the industry as a whole stands to gain stronger, more innovative solutions for building durability and envelope performance.
"The Air Barrier Association of America is full of top-tier industry professionals and functions as an exceptionally well-run organization. I look forward to contributing to an industry focused on optimizing building performance, durability, and long-term sustainability," said Jason Hoerter, PE, RRO, Director of Technical Services for the SPFA.
With nearly 25 years of extensive experience spanning chemical engineering, product manufacturing, and building science, Hoerter brings critical expertise to the ABAA board. His background includes prominent leadership and technical guidance across allied organizations, including currently serving as Past Chair on the board of the Roofing Industry Committee on Weather Issues (RICOWI) and Secretary the Virginia Chapter of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).
