SPFA TechTips Now Available in Spanish, Expanding Field Guidance for the Industry’s Spanish-Speaking Installers
STAFFORD, VA – The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) is pleased to announce that its full library of TechTips for SPF installers is now available in Spanish. All 29 TechTips, covering general, insulation, and roofing topics, are available to SPFA members through the Member InfoHub at sprayfoam.org.
Each SPFA TechTip is a concise, field-ready guide for SPF installers. Recent additions cover gas-powered equipment safety, lithium-ion batteries, intumescent coatings, and temperature-specific foam formulations.
The translation is part of a broader SPFA effort to make technical and safety education accessible to the Spanish-speaking workforce. That effort includes:
- Written exams in Spanish for the SPF Assistant, Installer, and Master Installer levels of the SPFA Professional Certification Program (PCP)
- Spanish-language breakout sessions at recent and upcoming SprayFoam Convention & Expos
- “Bridging the Language Gap and Empowering Spanish-Speaking Applicators,” an August 2026 episode of SPFA’s Foam-It-Right® podcast featuring Spanish-speaking contractors and technical leaders
- A Spanish-Speaking Working Group that guides and prioritizes future translation and outreach
The TechTips are just the beginning. SPFA is actively translating its technical documents, PCP materials, and membership materials, building a growing Spanish-language library that serves the industry from the jobsite to the front office.
"With every TechTip now in Spanish, a crew lead can hand a document to their team and know the message lands. It’s one more way SPFA is working to support safer work practices, quality installations, and the continued growth of our industry." said Eddie Canales, Membership Development Manager, SPFA.
Spanish-language education continues at SprayFoam 2027, March 7–10, 2027, in Fort Worth, Texas, which will feature a bilingual breakout track. SPFA members can access the Spanish TechTips now through the SPFA Member InfoHub at sprayfoam.org.
Contractors interested in membership can contact Eddie Canales at ecanales@sprayfoam.org; bilingual support is available. For more information, please visit sprayfoam.org.
